Character Analysis

Reflection- I was learning to relate to characters in the text to understand their purpose. I think I achieved my success criteria, but next time I need to use more detail and facts to back up my choice of trait. This activity was fun, I want to do this on other characters in books.

Persuasive Writing

My Reflection-
I was learning to plan and write a persuasive speech. I think I was successful at finding facts to back up my opinions and my reasons. But I still have to improve on speaking louder to my audience. Next time I write and present a speech I need to memorize it so I can speak clearer.

Telling time indidgital and words

Reflection I was learning to, read analogue clocks and write the time in numbers (digital) and words. This activity was easy for me and I completed it well. Next time I can work on more time problems like these.

Tapa Cloth

                                            

Reflection
I was learning about tapa cloth. I used a shell and flower design. I also used repeated patterns with 1/3 brown dye, 1/3 black vivid and 1/3 of brown paper. I learn't new facts about tapa cloth like where they're made and what they represent. Next time I have to work faster and be more creative.  The hardest part was to dye it and make sure it had a third of dye.

Fractured fairy tale

Reflection
I was learning to compare traditional fairy tales and fractured fairy tales. I found this easy because, it was kind of easy comparing both traditional and fractured fairy tales apart and what they had in common.

A moment in Time

Reflection  I was learning to use strategies to add more detail to my writing.I found this activity challenging, because I found it hard to think of sentence starters that includes a sense.Next time I can use more senses in my sentences.

Maths multipication

Reflection
I am learning to split numbers to make a tidy ten to go back through ten. I found this activity easy because splitting the numbers to make a tidy ten wasn't really hard. Next time I can use this strategy for problem solving.

Hokey skills

Reflection
 I was learning about new hockey skills, I thought this was a little challenging because I found some of the skills difficult to try. Next time I can work on the same skills I learn't like juggling.

Reading Around The World

Reflection
 I was learning to skim and scam, I found this really fun to do but a little hard as well. I think I achieved my goal, because trying to find the main points of pieces of information was kind of easy. Next time I have to work faster by using my skimming and scanning more often to complete my tasks on time.

Olympic Vocabulary

 I was learning to extend my Olympic vocabulary.I could find a word relating to each letter and I found different words for each letter. I really enjoyed this activity and I learnt some new words I can use in my writing.

Rio Olympics Comprehension Questions

Reflection
 I am learning to answer a range of comprehension questions.I found this a little challenging but it was really fun at the same time.I learnt a lot about how many things are going to happen for the Olympics this year.One of the thing's I learnt is that that there are 5 rings that are the symbol for the Olympic games.I need to improve on finding answers quicker that are in the story I have read.

What am I ?

Reflection
 This activity was fun for me because I had 2 buddy's that were really fun to work with.This was kind of tricky for me because during all the measurement activity's, we did we got confused on what colour is who's.But the easiest part was to measure each other, I thought this was really fun I want to do more measurement activity's like these but with more items to measure.

Matariki Acrostic Poem

Reflection
 I have been learning how to write an acrostic poem about Matariki. I found this a little tricky because I had to write words that start with a specific letter from M A T A R I K I. Next time I need to use good adjectives to make my writing interesting.

Explanation Writting

Reflection WALT:Write a simple explanation, and find information that is relevant to my topic.I didn't really find this tricky because me and my buddy Cheyenne worked together, the most easiest part for me was to research on the topic We chose.Because we already knew a lot about it we found out things we did'nt know like in new zealand our last volcano eruption was in mt Tangariro in the year 2002 and heaps of people died and 900 homes we burnt.

Recount Writing

Reflection This was really fun for me I enjoyed it a lot, The most tricky part for me was when i had to check my spelling. I have to improve on my spelling and I also have to improve by using paragraphs to help my writing.

Bike Skills

Reflection
I am learning bike skills. I have learnt about staying safe by making sure I check my helmet. I am really enjoying bike skills.

choco blocks-use the commutative property

 Reflection
 WALT-use the commutative property This was a little challenging for me but I completed it successfully.But some of the questions were tricky for me,but I got through it. By using,counters,my whiteboard and a little help from my friends when I got stuck but I finished all of my work. Some of the numbers in the questions were odd so that was the main things that was tricky for me.

Bright Fine Gold - Ask Questions and find information in the text

Reflection Reflection: The activity that challenged me the most was the first lot of questions at the top so I did heaps of answering to help me i used the book my response was based on bright fine gold. The easiest activity for me was when i had to break words into 3, 4 and 5 syllables. Next time I can extend myself by not using the book for answering the questions and read the book once.
