Maths - Word Problems

Reflection: This term I was learning how to use strategies and knowledge to solve word math problems collaboratively, and to expand more on operations, order, and strategies. I enjoyed this activity because I like maths and I really enjoy using Place value partitioning, equal addition, reversing, and rounding and compensating. But I didn't write all of the strategies to solve these problems, in my slideshow which I think is bad because I didn't achieve one of my goals. Which is to achieve and complete all of my work, but at the same time I solved them all and i'm happy with that. I think next time when I do word problems I will try to do all strategies to solve the problem.

Narrative Writing/Fractured Fairy Tale

Reflection: While doing this task, I learn't how to write my own Narrative story. Well not a whole Narrative story, because it would be plagiarism if I did say I wrote everything myself, Yet I did not. My own partly narrative story is mixed with Charles Perrault's story Red Riding Hood. In the beginning the narrative story had an original Red Riding Hood start then my writing mixed the rest of the story up entirely. I hope I will get to create and write my very own narrative story again and hopefully with many other Narratives.

Inquiry Celebrations

Reflection: During this task I was learning how to investigate and research facts about a celebration, and for this task me and my partner Ariana worked on the celebration Christmas. We both learned a lot during this and I hope I can re-do this task again but with a different celebration.

Mr Galliano's Circus - Character Description

I liked this activity because it was fun to write different unique facts about Jeanne and Lisa, but I also mainly liked this activity because I got to try find a picture. The picture I chose to use in my work was a screenshot of Cinderella's step sisters, who's emotions were the exact ones I wanted. There emotions were like raging mad like a bull who hasn't been fed by their owners for weeks. I hope to do this activity on another book in the future.

Time Capsule

If I Won Lotto

Reflection - I enjoyed making this speech, and I really enjoyed presenting it. But I also think think that I should work on my paste and my eye contact, because I think I had an good volume but I went a bit fast. But then I didn't use any eye contact either, because I don't know my speech off my heart. The next time I present a speech those are the two key things I should work on for next time.

Book Review

Reflection - I found this really fun to do especially when it came to design/decorate. I did this activity last year I think, and I hoped I got to do it again and it did which was good to know. But again I want to try more book reviews with other books and without help from a teacher, because when I was writing this book review. Miss Gost helped me which was really nice of her and I found out she also liked this book as well as me.

Why You Should Help Around Your Community - Persuasive Speech

Reflection - I found writing my speech a real challenge because I worked 2 days and nights making this. It isn't my best work but I accomplished my goal of finishing it, and actually making another persuasive speech. This was really fun but I want to present it next term.

Statistics

Reflection: I enjoyed this activity because it was easy for me. The easy part was to write the percentages and the numbers. But it was really exhausting.

Dot Patterns

Reflection: I didn't like this activity because it was hard for me to think of patterns. But I also found it challenging to complete this task because I was away and I also didn't work on this a lot.

Reflection: I enjoyed this activity because I could use examples using myself and compare to what many other people that are famous go through.

If I Had 3 Wishes

\ Reflection: I really enjoyed this activity because I found it really fun to think of what I would do if I had 3 wishes. I also found it challenging because I couldn't really express my thoughts and feelings. About my wishes, but I also found it a little bit challenging because I couldn't think of a reason why I wanted that certain wish. But other than that I really enjoyed this whole activity. But I don't look forward to do it again some time in the future because I used all my ideas in this.

The Running Of The Bulls

Reflection: I liked this activity because I worked in a group and because my group managed to finish and answer everything. I worked with Alexius and Trisha, we worked together really well and I'm happy we did finish before our time was up. Everyone in the inquiry class worked so hard, I don't think anyone wrote their inquiry notes. But other than that this was a very fun inquiry activity and I hope I'll do this again.

If I Was Principal For A Week

Reflection: I Liked this activity because I enjoyed thinking about what I would do. This was a little challenging for me because I didn't finish this when it was due but I managed to finish eventually.

Starter Sentences

Reflection: The only thing I found hard in this activity was trying finding pictures. writing/typing my sentences we're incredibly easy because I can think of facts I know about the subject I can use, and I can also use words that describe the picture.

Conjunction sentences

Reflection: found this activity easy, but I also learned how to use conjunction words in my writing. This will help me in other future activities I do because than I won't have to worry about finding a word to link my sentences together and make them flow well.

Holi Festival & Colour Run Comparisons and similarities

Reflection:
I learned about the similarities and the comparisons between the "Color run" and the "holi festival". I enjoyed this activity because I got to use the facts I learn't last week, and I also got to use the new facts I learned this week. I found this rather challenging but at the same time extremely fun, because I had to re-read/re-watch the sites/videos a million times which was also a fun thing. But at the same time, It was hard to put all my knowledge into words. I hope when I go back to room 25 I can do more comparing and looking at similarities work.

Why You Should Wear A Uniform Impromptu Speech

Reflection: I was learning how to write a impromptu speech. My topic was why we should wear a uniform. I presented my 4 reasons and expanded and explained them. I though this was fun but I struggled with finding 4 of my facts next time I want to do another speech but again, I still want to choose my topic.

About Me Slideshow

Reflection: I liked this activity because I got to express who I am, and I got to include details about my life and my family. I want to do this again to see what has changed though out the years.

If I Won Lotto

Reflection:
Today I was writing a impromptu speech.
My topic was "If I won lotto"
 My Success Criteria was to;
Have 4-5 things you would buy/use with your lotto money, then I had to explain why I wanted that item
and how I felt/thought.
I personally liked this activity because I liked the topic, and I loved all the unique items others chose.
This will be something I'll be doing soon in the future.
BUT i'll be the one who will be choosing the topic.

Reflection-
My learning intention was to describe our response to David Williams Novel ¨The Worlds Worst Children¨ I think I did use descriptive words in my response and I did achieve my learning intention. I enjoyed doing this activity and next time I think I need to complete it faster and on time.

The Story Of Cats

Reflection- I enjoyed doing this because I got to learn new facts about cats. I learned how they they are very good acrobatics and I learn´t what they do to show their emotion. Next time I want to learn new facts about another animal and I want to use more descriptive words in my poem.
